4/25/16 Appt with Dr Patel after ultrasound on 4/18/16
My results were stable vs previous ultrasound. The left lymph node is still there (no indication if it is new or old but Dr Patel thinks it has been there for a while), but the size is unchanged vs 4 months ago.
I asked if the node size of 2.2 cm was "large", he said yes since they would normally biopsy or even take out a node that is larger than 1 or 1.5cm. However, since my bloodwork has been consistently good (no sign of Tg for all of my tests), he said that there is no need to do anything right now.
Just keep monitoring as we have been. If it gets larger in the future and/or negatively affects my life, then we can talk about options. He felt my neck and the left lymph node is not palpable to the touch even though it is measured and detectable on the ultrasound. Right now, Dr Patel isn't worried and no action needed. Stay the course.
Next appt is in 6 months - 10/27/16 at 9am
